Proof of Our Commitment
At Hnaxulu, we place great importance on transparency and authenticity. That’s why we commissioned analyses from an independent laboratory in France, to certify the natural quality of our vanilla pods.

Why conduct these analyses?
Isotopic analysis measures what is known as the natural carbon fingerprint present in vanillin. Each cultivated pod has a unique signature. These scientific tests ensure that our vanilla is 100% plant-based and contains no synthetic flavoring.
Origins of the Analyzed Samples
To ensure optimal traceability, we separated the analyses based on the geographical origin of the pods.
Sample T comes from plots located in the center of Lifou Island, where the pods benefit from a more continental climate and moderate sunlight.
Sample M was taken from plantations in coastal zones, influenced by the sea and higher humidity.
These two terroirs have distinct climatic conditions, while preserving the same natural quality and an isotopic signature consistent with the plant origin of vanilla.
How to Read the Results
Isotopic analysis measures a value called δ¹³C, which corresponds to the natural carbon signature in vanillin.
To simplify:
100% natural vanilla generally falls between −30‰ and −18‰.
Synthetic vanilla shows values higher than −10‰, since it is chemically produced.
Our samples show results of −22.5‰ and −20.6‰, which confirms their natural origin.
